Mato Serrao Walk Pt. III Journal 30

On the corner where the roundabout escorts the traffic there used to be a vacant piece of land (probably about 5-6 acres).  In 2018 construction began on a new villa and was completed sometime in the Covid period.

Just to the right about 800 feet lies a typical old farmhouse.  You can just see the roof of the new villa at the left of the old house.  I'm not making any judgements here but it is interesting to see the amount of money invested.  Note the false chimneys that are now used as ventilators.

Our walk ended around 2 pm.

Being at the edge of the country there are still many old farmhouses.  Some are occupied while others are ruins.  This is not good farmland so gradually villas are replacing them.
