Weather: Cooler with intermittent light rain and sun. The sun never quits here but we are getting streams of very light showers off the Atlantic coast from the northwest.
AROMA
We went out for dinner last night. There are several very good country restaurants around here including Bon Bon, Oregano, Gosta, Brasilia, I'Orange, etc. Then there are several more country places on the eastern side of Carvoeiro including my favourite for stone steak. Of course Carvoeiro has at least a hundred. Most of the restaurants are locally owned and the owners are not far away. Most evenings they are right there looking after the customers.
We always enjoy the service here, especially in the nicer restaurants as most of the staff are professionals and understand the 'art' of service.
For our first foray we decided to stick to AROMA which is our resort restaurant. We have done Valentine's Day there but haven't done a normal dinner here. We had a very nice couvert and then a very nice serving of prawns. Mary had lamb and I had spaghetti carbonara with some wine. Some pictures below. Please forgive me for photographing my food. It's a bad habit.
Here's the bill if your interested. Not that different from Canada until you add in the currency difference.
Massa Carbonara 17.70
Carre de Borrego 29.00
Eire Branco Copo 10.00
Couvert 5.40
Gelado (Ibola) 1.50
Camarao Salteado 15.70
Total........................................79.30
Probable total after currency exchange about $115.00
