Weather: 13C at 9am with a high of 16C which according my grade 9 high school science teacher is 60.8F. (16x9/5) + 32 I know I'm being a bit of an ass here but what else do I have to do.
10:00am Spent an hour in the pool this morning. No one else there. Lovely but lonely. Ha Ha.
11:00am We knew some Canadians were staying here but had only met a few until last night. When returned from dinner last night we were parking the car and met a couple on our sidewalk from Coldstream (near London) who were just dropped off by a taxi and couldn't find their apartment in the dark??? There are about 10 parties with Merit Travel and some others with JM. They are here for 28 days. The Merit people are coming for the first time. On Wednesday there will be a whole new bunch arriving from Canada with Merit and the current bunch go home.
When we came for the first time in 2008 we came with JM. That was a good experience as it prepares you for the unknown. We also rented a car through JM on that first trip and that really opened up the country to us.
So when we came in 2009 we made our own arrangements by contacting the resort directly. The result was a much better and larger ocean front unit for around the same money. We rented the car separately and booked the flights separately. We have continued to make our own arrangements and the savings are substantial. In spite our efforts car rentals have increased by almost 100% and flight fares are very inconsistent and much higher.
