Weather: 20C absolutely clear
We are not going anywhere today. Just lying out in the sun and enjoying the blue sky.
The maids have just left after their weekly visit so I did a quick video of the place if you are interested in what it looks like.
Last year we stayed here and had a two bedroom apartment for $97 a night, but prices have increased substantially. That two bedroom now goes for $125 a night. The video below is a townhouse for which we pay about $140 per night on a long term stay. Generally a long term stay is regarded as a minimum of 28 nights. When you use an internet service such as Booking.com they don't offer it.
Our price for this townhouse is 3880 euros (about $5,600) for 40 nights. Booking.com prices a 2 bedroom apartment here (some call it a suite) for only 29 nights at $6,031.00. We have been dealing directly with resorts like this since our second year way back in 2009. It has saved us a very large sum of money.
If you are interested in Portugal prices vary considerably. You can probably find a place for $50 a night or well above $400 a night.
To play the video hit the arrow once. Wait until the next screen comes up and then hit the square in the corner which brings it to full screen size. Then press the second arrow.

Interesting to see the layout of the place you are staying. Looks like lots of room and pretty decent value for that price per night. Although I know nothing about prices comparable for the area.
What are you using for a camera, Peter? Your phone? Quality
Is very good. Looks like weather has been very good. I gave your blog details to Kim and Stirling this morning as they would like to read. And Tina as well.
The condo is super. You certainly have lots of room to swing a cat in, AND I love that each bedroom has its own bath. As for the balcony - I would be happy to sit out there all day and do nada - well, maybe read a good mystery that takes place in, where else, but Portugal.
