Natural Gas Update

This is where the meter will go when the final connection is made
You might wonder why I bother with this rather mundane topic, but getting NG is very important to us. Our current heat is oil which is 225% more expensive then gas.   Last Monday T.W.Johnstone buried the pipe from the edge of our property up to the house which is about 550'.  Today they are back and connecting that line to the main on the road that was put in a few months ago.  The line from the road goes up to the gas meter about 100' in and then to the house.

Connecting to the main.  They use a connector that is heat melted to the main.

Then a small line is connected which goes to the meter which is about 100'
off the road.  There are riser is installed to take the meter.

The small line runs from the road main to the meter.  Then it's 2" pipe to the house

Large pipe exiting at the house.  Riser is still to be installed on the house.
