Oh Christmas Tree, Oh......

Mary's at it again.  The christmas tree hunt.  The trees we planted twenty years ago have grown to such an extent that few remain as potential indoor trees.  None-the-less we found a tree less than 12'.  The girth was a little large at 7' but with a little snipping here and there we squeezed it in the front door and fitted it under the 10' ceiling.

Xmas tree 2011.  Guess who finished the cut?

While tree hunting we noticed dozens of deer trails although sightings of deer have been rare lately.  Last year they were often around the house eating the bushes because of the heavy snow.

Anyone can see that it is not a plantation tree

If you choose to look back at the 2010 Xmas entries you will see that we had a huge amount of snow in December.  This year accumulation has not exceeded 2-3".  Mary didn't need her snow shoes like last year.
