Laura's Wedding & Trip to B.C.

On September 3rd, our niece Laura was married to Sean in Whistler, B.C.  The ceremony was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in a beautiful tent beside the hotel and a rushing mountain stream. 

We decided to make a week of it and spent two days in Vancouver, two days in Whistler and three days on Vancouver Island during which time we went to visit Karen Hay my new found second cousin who lives in Sooke, B.C. 



Karen is the granddaughter of William Hay, my grandfather's brother.  He went to Sask. in the first
part of the 20th century.  



Our boys Rob and Mike also made the trip.  Rob from Toronto and Mike from Calgary.  Before the wedding they both went mountain climbing north of Whistler.  Mike's girlfriend Heather also flew in from Denver where she is doing her masters degree.

Before the wedding Mary, Janet and I spent two days in Vancouver doing the sights before picking up our rental car and hiking up to Whistler.  After the wedding we dropped Janet and Rob off at the airport and took the ferry to Victoria.  We had three wonderful days in Victoria which really has to be seen to be experienced.
