Christmas Eve Mary and I, Rob and Mike went to Brian and Mary Jane's house for a lovely dinner. All of us then attended the choral service at St. Paul's Cathedral and stayed on for the midnight service and communion. As usual the choir is magnificent and the orchestra devine. The recessional of Hark the Herald always stirs the soul.
Morning found us opening our presents and we thoroughly enjoyed the company as our boys are not home as often as we would like. We traveled to the family farm outside of Seaforth for dinner at Don and Charlotte McKercher's home. Almost all of the nephews and nieces were there including Laura who flew in from Vancouver. Charlotte always puts on a great spread.
The week went quickly and we found ourselves in Tillsonburg doing a New Year's Eve tri-visit to the homes of Elaine Balpataky, Karen Tripp and Judy Strobel. Elaine did appetizers, Karen dinner and Judy deserts with Mary and Meg helping out. They are delightful women and we always enjoy their company. Wayne and Meg Walden; Doug and Marlin Gilbert and Walter Scott were also there adding their usual sparkle.
The evening was uneventful and the weather was good. Looking forward to an interesting 2006. I have posted some of Walters photos here.

This blog is a journal but lately has become a way to illustrate our travels to family and friends when we are away.
