Weather: Wind about 30 kph, Temp 18 C It's an absolutely gorgeous day here.
We went for a walk along the coast in Carvoeiro. As you can see it is rugged with the cliffs being about 100' high. The west wind worked up 6-8' swells in the ocean but you wouldn't know it from the photo. This is one of many boardwalks in the Algarve. Just a hundred feet inland is the street in the other photo.
A unique feature of the Algarve is the right of access enjoyed by everyone. You can walk anywhere along the ocean from Cape St. Vincent to the Spanish border without crossing private property. In fact all 100 miles is marked with walking posts to guide walkers.
