Maryhill Christmas Tree

We're at it again!  It's Sunday and two weeks before Christmas, so Mary felt the urge to harvest the tree.  After some trudging in our woods we found a reasonable specimen and as you can see the result is quite good when you consider it's free.

Tree cutter in training.  No snow is a plus for tree cutting, but doesn't add much to the experience.

Mary and I hauled it up the hill ( that's why our home is called Maryhill Cottage ) for trimming and mounting.  When we put it in the living room it just scaped our 10' ceiling.  Mary likes to leave the tree alone for a day in the house before decorating.

Mary set about decorating and this is the result.  We really look forward to having Rob and Mike home, so setting up the tree is important.
