| Gee......if I could only get rid of the belly! |
Mary took this picture by the bank of the Thames River. Our house looks over this area from high on the valley rim about 1200' from the river. We snowshoed down our field and then across the road into the our neighbour's place. Then we crossed their bridge which crosses a seasonal creek and leads to the river. We hiked along the river and then up through the woods and back to our road. Eventually we made it back to the front of our place and ploughed up the hill. All in all a very good experience and great for the lungs. Winter has been great this year. It has been moderately cold with a lot of snow ( 5' + ) but very little wind. The wind creates the deep drifts and chews up our fuel oil.
