Although Mike was home for Christmas, he has returned for another week. He is a member of Engineers Without Borders and they were having their annual conference in Mississauga last week. Suffice it to say, Mary and I enjoyed his company once again. He shacked up with Rob in Acton during the conference, so they had a little more time together.
Later in the week our niece Laura McKercher also arrived home from Vancouver with her boyfriend Sean. They came home for a wedding, but also for her Dad's birthday which we celebrated at the Arden Park hotel in Stratford on the 25th. Don (McKercher) has reached senior status and now joins the ranks of we old age pension cheque people. As it turned out Laura and Mike had the same shorthaul flight to Toronto today (Jan. 27) so Mary and I joined Don and Charlotte at London airport to give our offspring a sendoff.
